Tea Party in Augusta, GA

Posted on April 16, 2009 at 11:35am 3 Comments

Before I give my recap of our Tea Party...I'd like to take a moment to respond to The Wicked Witch of D.C. Nancy Pelosi who said that this movement is funded at the highest levels to trick people into supporting tax cuts for the rich. That this is not a grass roots movement. Lady, are you naturally stupid or did you have to , ya know, take a class? Our Tea Party was funded and sponsored by local small businesses here in Augusta. You can deny it all day, but try not to trip over stuff… Continue

You Know What "They" Say

Posted on April 5, 2009 at 8:00pm 2 Comments

I have been asked several times since the presidential election of 2008 what I think of my new president. My response is always the same: "Barack Obama is not my president." I am then met with the same retort: "That's not very patriotic." Really? Well, I tend to agree with Theodore Roosevelt who said: "Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President or any other public office save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the… Continue

Inherited, Inschmerited

Posted on March 31, 2009 at 3:57pm 2 Comments

As we all know, our Dear Leader doesn't seem to have grasped the complexities of his new job. He also doesn't seem to understand the purpose of an election campaign. Since I am a Patriotic American, I will attempt to 'splain it to him.

Now, let's say, for the sake of argument, that this is the truth:

Let's say that George W. Bush single handedly tanked the economy, destroyed every good relationship we had around the world AND is… Continue

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

All this talk about Rhianna and Chris Brown got me thinking about the situation the American People are in right now. I know, you're wondering how I got from domestic abuse to American Politics and I'll get there in a second. But first I want to say something to Rhianna.....Sweetie, Oprah was right, if he hit you once, he WILL hit you again.

Now on to the point.

The American people have Battered Woman Syndrome. We are being abused by those in power. They lie to us, cheat… Continue

A Peek into the Military Mind

Posted on February 23, 2009 at 1:43pm 5 Comments

I am a warrior. I fight so you don't have to. I fought to create a country of free people.

And I fought to preserve that country.

I have fought against tyrants and dictators.

And brought freedom to Iraq.…

Jees Louise, poor guy. Surviving up here, although they are talking 3-5 of snow tonight, Dammit. I was kinda hoping we could through the rest of February with having to take out the snowblower, but no such.

I better get the caffeine drip going. Have a nice day hon!

Hey Dede! How's it going? You survive those storms?
I'm Ok here. Cold, but clear and calm and rankly, I'll take that and be happy.

Guys! I belong to another Kentucky Conservative group as well, <"http://www.resistnet.com"> We are planning on getting together on 3/15 in Lexington and would love to combine our efforts with as many groups of like minded folks as we can.

"Happy to see ya....hmm, your bars!"

Hi, Dede!! Thank you for inviting me and rolling out the "Welcome" .gif! Now, as for humming a few bars...what song did you have in mind? I might know the words ;)

LOL! If it is anything like Talladega I can understand exactly why you'd feel that way. I used to go to the race every April and drive the back roads through town after the race to beat the hideous traffic and the place looked like a ghost town. I mean the only sign of life was one farmer plowing his field. I stopped going because it got too crazy and greedy. despite the snooty image, I would think golf fans are just as bad as race fans andthey leave on helluva mess behind. Never cared much for Golf. In the words of the Sopranos muscle and enforcer, Furio "Stupid f****** game".

OH I can imagine it is a two edged sword. On one hand, you have all the money 30,000 nitwits can spent in four days and on the other hand, you have 30,000 nitwits. Heh. At least you don't have a NASCAR race. I've seen how talladega and surrounding towns close twice a year for 4 days.

As for the snow.....it only does that here about once every 8 years or so....so I think I remember what it looks like. :)

Funny, I'd like to forget ALL about snow! Not much fell, but enough to shovel and be a pain in the ass!

Dear Miss Dede, I want to thank you for putting Ann's column on the group. It really looks just great. Hey, how about that century mark of members, it's thanks to folks like you that we've grown rather fast. I am glad to see that; although, it even surprises me (quite pleasantly I might add), Come to think of it that is a silly phrase, might add, cause ya already have. Oh well. Again I thank you, may the Lord be with you!
Peace through Superior Firepower,
TERRY

the snow is coming down here right now. heavy and sticky. I got back from walking the dogs and I looked the abominable snowman and his two frozen hell hounds. Those two nitwits love it and run around like nuts in it. Usually dragging me behind them. Sounds like a wild night. Hope no tornados form.
Augusta? you must love it every April! :)
