Last tuesday, we had a meeting for our congressman Kratovil about voting against the Health care plan. There was about 300 of us. He didn't show. During our protest there was a group of about 5 kids ages 12 - 15 who had signs that said things like: "my arms are tired" "where are the chicks" "where is the cheese" "Led Zeppling Rocks" etc. and they kept getting in front of the people who were protesting. The people that should have attended the tea parties didn't. At least at the one I went to. If I was a governor of a state or a mayor of a town or any elected official, even a priniciple of a school I think I would have attended a local tea party, Even if it was for selfish reasons, like furthering their career I think I still would have showed up. Out of curiousity, I checked out the Democratic Underground. Below was one of their blogs. Notice how it has no intelligence, no meaning, no purpose. Just a stupid poem to put down a man who is more unbias than anyone I know. That is how liberals are. Our members are very active in the conservative movement. Not only have they helped this site grow to over 5,000 in just 3 months they also participate in tea parties, radio shows and some are even running for office!

TCU is also a way to connect with other conservatives. Members post blog articles, forum post, join groups, and even upload pictures. From time to time TCU also has contest and highlights special events such as tea parties. TCU also aims to maintain a positive atmosphere for the conservative movement.
First thing you should do is join your State group. Do this by clicking on states at the top of the page. This will get you started. I hope you find this site useful, educational and a way for you to participate in this important movement.
