Welcome to TCU, Farris - from a fellow Floridian. For starters, I encourage you to join the Florida Conservatives group. We Floridians must come together and work together to insure that the aberration that was BHO doesn't happen again and we can turn Florida back to a "Red" state. Also, the group has interesting dialogue which I'm sure you'd enjoy and perhaps through it, you’d even make a new friend, or two, or more.

I would also encourage you to join the Conservative Christians group. Given your interest in God, not only would you be an invaluable addition, but you'd meet a lot of like minded-friends and profit thereby. As advertised, it’s a place for Christians to share thoughts, beliefs and concerns as they relate to today's political environment. I'm sure you'd enjoy the interaction and I know we'd enjoy any postings or comments you might want to contribute.

Then, depending on your interests, there are a veritable multitude of other groups that run the political and personality spectrum so take your pick(s) and enjoy your membership.
