As many of you know, I stepped down as a site moderator to take care of my health (and give our vicious trolls a chance to calm down with me gone). I still check in now and then to see what's happening, but my primary mission and focus right now is spreading conservative ideals on Facebook and Google+. On Facebook, you can find me by searching for jrobgroup. On Google+, just look for Jim Robinson

LIke many of you am I gravely concerned for the future of all Americans; this is why I now promote and sponsor the Tea Parties anywhere and everywhere I can before next year's election cycle. Keep up the faith and hard work, Patriots, and we will see real change in January 2013! GO AMERICA AND TEA PARTIES !!!

Most good Americans would not provoke a confrontation with Muslims by building a church or Jewish temple in a Muslim community. So why are Muslims trying to provoke a confrontation with Americans by building a mosque at the 9-11 site where Muslim terrorists attacked and killed many Americans? Do these builders not understand that just because we have "rights" to do something doesn't always mean we should do it anyway (especially if it will provoke needless anger and rage, not love or unity)? This proposed mosque is not the real issue here — but the location of it most certainly is with most Americans. Let them build it somewhere else and not at a site that causes such grief and pain to so many good Americans.

Some basic tenets of American Conservatism:
1. Limited government power (both nationally and internationally)
2. A balanced budget
3. Personal liberty
4. Strict adherence to the Constitution
5. Sound currency
6. A strong defense while avoiding all undeclared wars
7. A policy of foreign non-interventionism and honest commerce
8. No nation building and no policing the world
9. Private property
10. A Free Market within our borders
11. Free trade internationally
12. Traditional borders

American Conservatism in a Nutshell

"The mark of God-honoring, family-centered, freedom-loving, small government traditionalists (and not radical or violent revolutionaries) seeking to preserve the rudiments of their Judeo-Christian values, heritage, culture, life, liberties, freedoms, personal and international sovereignty, and inalienable rights based not on the Rule of Men but on Divine (Natural) Law, Biblical Precepts, and People's Law as understood, envisioned, and passed down to us by our Founding Fathers, the Framers of our Constitution, and Western Civilization."

If the GOP doesn't come around to Conservatives, I will come around to the Constitution Party (but I don't see the CP yet being able to win the national elections for Congress or the White House, especially this year.) But, in the years to come, I certainly hope this will change for the better of all in this great Republic.

I got this image from Dave Britenbach on NoWeWont.ning.com. I don't know if it is his own design or someone else's, but it certainly is good!

Left? Right? Center? What does all of this really mean? Our Founding Fathers and Framers of the Constitution (masters of politics and government) clearly did not recognize the "Left-Right political scale" taught in most colleges today. Rather did they recognize another (and better scale) with Anarchy on one side (0% government) and Tyranny on the opposite side (100% government) with "People's Law" (aka, our Constitutional Republic) dead center in the balance of the their political scale.

What this means is that Constitutionalists and Conservatives (although they have slight differences) are the center balance of the "Founder's scale" -- not the Liberals, Moderates, Progressives, and Socialists! We actually derive our political terms "Left" and "Right" from the European parliaments that placed certain parties at either the left or the right tables of their peace talks; it had absolutely nothing to do with where these parties actually stood on the issues. Terms like "the Liberal Left" or "the Religious Right" would have been absolutely meaningless to our Founding Fathers and the Framers of the Constitution. I think their system is so much better, wiser, and more accurate than the one we are using today.

For the past 100 years have we have allowed Liberals and Socialists to redefine government and tilt the scale in their favor to position Conservatives as the "extremists" and not them. I think it's time We the People go back to the Founder's Scale and put our Liberals and Socialists back on the defense where they truly belong. We are not the ones out of touch with mainstream America and the Constitution -- they are!

The great danger in trying to water down any movement to incorporate all opposing ideas, worldviews, and fighting factions is that the movement itself risks losing its core identity, focus, and objectives for the sake of immediate, but not permanent, goals and concerns. This applies to any group or movement and not just this one.

Our Founding Fathers were extremely careful to not lose sight of their goals and ambitions for America -- and rather than watering down their principles to suit the few, they enshrined them in our Constitution, laws, and American way of life. When someone once asked Benjamin Franklin what kind of country he helped to create, Franklin replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." It is our challenge today to keep and preserve this constitutional Republic that was entrusted to our care and protection.

We must be careful to do the same for there are many here that do want us to water down our message, objectives, and values to suit their very narrow interests alone. We must be very careful to identify and preserve all of the values, ideals, and principles that actually were passed down to us by our Founding Fathers and the Framers of our Constitution (yet, for the sake of narrow interests and expediency, too many here seem to care less). But I do care!

Our arguments should not focus on our opinions and viewpoints but on theirs alone (the Founding Fathers and the Framers). This is why I dare to resist and challenge those few here that demand the rest of us to follow their narrow interests and definitions alone. I believe our Conservative movement got into its current troubles because it stopped focusing on the broader interests and greater definition of Conservatism passed down to us by those that actually created this Republic - and this must change if true Conservatism is to ever regain its prominence in this country. These are desperate times, and tyranny is knocking at our doors!

For over the past century have Conservatives allowed this great Republic to move away from the high ideals, values, and heritage of our Founding Fathers and the Framers. As a whole have we moved so far away from their intents and desires that many today no longer recognize or cherish what they passed down to us.

My sole focus and purpose on TCUnation is to restore the original Conservatism that our Founding Fathers and the Framers passed down to us. Any other form or brand of "Conservatism" (no matter how you label it) is ultimately a cheap and, dare say I, worthless copy. True Conservatism encompasses a very broad, and not narrow, range of issues dealing with economics, politics, social and spiritual issues, ad infinitum.

While some want to unite around fiscal concerns or social concerns only, I want this great movement to reunite around all of the concerns that impacted the existence and survival of this new Republic - as passed down to us by those that risked their lives, fortunes, and honor to give us what many of them dared only dream. This is why I cannot and will not give up the good fight to restore our Republic and our Constitution for all of us and not just a few.

So please pardon me for not reserving most of my posts to short and meaningless 30 second soundbites and platitudes that really say much of nothing. True Conservatism deserves much more than that from all of us!

Ramblings from a Fellow American and Patriot

Fellow Americans and Patriots – crunch time is finally here! In less than 3 weeks do We the People get the podium to voice our concerns and political agenda for the next 4 years in our country. Either we have the courage and conviction to vote for real and substantive change in our federal government or we act like sheep, go along with the status quo, and continue down the Road to Greece and certain economic disaster. The choice is ours to make, and we must make certain that the federal…See More

It's Time to Get Off This Roller Coaster

We live in a crazy and upside down world. Our journey has turned into a wild roller coaster ride spinning dangerously out of control, and the off switch appears to be broken. Black is now white, and white is now black, because evil is loved and good is hated. Haters, malcontents, and misfits are running the show, and God help anyone that dares to stand against them. Freedom of speech is now a one-way street reserved for society's chosen elites and disenchanted masses but no one else. Personal…See More

America in the Crossroads, 2012 Election Cycle

America is facing possibly the most serious crossroads of her existence in the past 100 years — and don't let anyone foolishly convince you otherwise. Kicking the can down the road and passing extraordinary deficits, reckless spending, and unsustainable entitlements to our children and grandchildren will only collapse our entire system and American dream for one and all. Is America honestly ready to give up her inalienable freedoms and hard-fought independence to become yet another failed…See More
