Griff replied to Martha R Gore's discussion 'Voter identification laws may effect 2012 election?'
"The only possible reason you could oppose voter ID is if you intend to commit voter fraud.  Naturally, the dems are ALWAYS opposed to voter ID, as this is just one of many tools they use to get their way."

Ethnic warfare destroys a city’s future as 2012 election approaches

What was once looked at as a charming Hispanic heritage has became a battle ground between some Mexican-Americans and political groups in a Sun Belt city in Arizona. As that ethnic population has increased, the undercurrent divisions in Tucson have surfaced and grown. Recent elections have done little to calm the environment. Could the 2012 election bring representatives that recognize what the dissention is doing to the city and bring all sides together? Read more…See More

Slutwalkers focused on wrong aspect of rape

When Slutwalkers paraded bare-breasted on the streets of many cities,  focusing on unclothed or barely dressed  women not inviting rape, they should have been protesting that rape was being under reported because of an archaic definition of sexual assault used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that was created over 80 years ago.At that time, the FBI defined rape as the ‘carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will’, a term narrower than that used by most police…See More

Tax breaks offered to create new jobs

Employers are being tempted with tax breaks by governors who think the incentive will bring more jobs to their states.  These include lowering taxes on individual income, commercial and industrial property, utilities, and energy used in manufacturing. The competition between the states extends across the US with enticements for new businesses or company expansions that would result in increased opportunities for jobs.
