Welcome to TCU, MIchael - from a fellow Floridian*. For starters, I encourage you to join the Florida Conservatives group. We Floridians must come together and work together to insure that the aberration that was BHO doesn't happen again and we can turn Florida back to a "Red" state. Also, the group has interesting dialogue which I'm sure you'd enjoy and perhaps through it, you’d make a lot of new friends.
Then, depending on your interests, there are a veritable multitude of other groups that run the political and personality spectrum so take your pick(s) and enjoy your membership.
Also, you might want to check out this web site to see if there's a Tea Party planned near you: http://teapartyday.com/Organize.aspx. In addition to releasing a lot of pent up frustration, I'm sure you'd meet a lot of like-minded conservatives there and have fun as well.
