ANTI UNION UNIONS!There has never been a time for the people of Ohio to be more involved with the political process. We The People have been too silent to long and it is time for the majority of the citizenry to stand up and support the Great State of Ohio. Few have been taught the true concept of freedom and liberty nor do they understand the destructive powers of these parties and the power exerted by the unions. George Washington said these words over 200 years ago and they still hold true;…See More

No, please, you did not offend me at all. I wanted to clarify that I use the actual Founder's writings. But you have not offended me, and I agree that many use a quote, but it sadly is google, not from the books with documents.
I so wish people would subscribe to the Library of America, Wallbuilders, Eads Home, Eagle, Phyllis Schlafely, etc.
Libray of America is not a true conservative site, but a publishing house that reprints the classics. They charge a fortune, but it's worth it to get hard bound copies.
Although, I do recommend David Barton above all: wallbuilders.com.
Timothy, you will love his July 4, 2009 sermon at Charles Stanley's Church: the sermon is on our Godly Founding and can be found on intouch.org.
I encourage all to order it. It will bring tears to your eyes, it is so inspiring!
And Thank You for providing the DTFF group, Timothy.
I'm constantly amazed myself at how timely and truthful most of the comments of our Founding Fathers are, even today.
They lived with a fiery passion selflessness, and conviction that is almost unseen in our time.
I believe those qualities will have to live again very soon, or all that they fought for will just disappear. If not, I think it will be really hard to fight another American Revolution against our military. God forbid!
Thanks for being in the fight!
I LOVE studying the founders (framers intent)
I have a page of quotes that I posted about a decade ago
in fact I haven't edited the site in about a decade
Clinton is still president
From Just a little more Common Sense written in Oct of 2008,
I study our Constitution and our founding documents, probably a lot more than I should. I also for some odd and sick reason follow the political scene a little more than is healthy for me. But like you, I absolutely Love my Country and my freedom; and believe in the free market system. I believe the federal government should be small, that state rights are above federal involvement. I also believe local, state, and federal government; Democrat or Republican, has taken the Constitution and shredded the ideas of our forefathers… Please take the time to read this…
Soooo, the reason for this letter, there are a lot of people on both sides who are basing there vote on a lot of rhetoric. The Constitution gives every American a vote; it is one of our most important rights. We the People are ultimately responsible for the problems our country faces. We the People send people to stand in our place, to offer our thoughts, and to follow our directions. We the People have lost the concept of personal responsibility. It has become way too easy to blame the employees we send in our steed, then to accept the responsibility for these employees. We have come to a point where we send them off and never hold them responsible for there actions, and so they think we have giving them a mandate to rule, instead of the job of representing us. We the People are the ultimate answer to these problems.
I stood in an elevator in the Capitol, as a representative thought it would be the highlight of my trip if he introduced me to another representative he thought could be my representative. I said Hi, and got out of the elevator as fast as possible. The arrogance in that small room was more than I could take. (This was at the same time we had just bailed out fanny and Freddie. They were actually laughing and joking about it on Capitol Hill that day). Thomas Jefferson supposedly once shot a man for treason on the White House grounds, today he would need several clips to even make a dent.. I have talked too many friends and family members who have different views, I know some of us are leaning one way, some are leaning the other. Some of us have made our minds up; some will make our decision when in the booth. I would hope, I pray, that when that time comes we have all taken the time to study the issues, and the candidates for the jobs we are about to give them.
Although secular progressives have succeeded in changing the history as much as possible; Lincoln was willing to leave the issue of slavery alone to keep the union united. The true reason for the war was the enlargement of the federal government, the grab of power and wealth from the southern states. Read the Confederate states Declaration of Independence; it’s quit eerie how it resembles our Declaration of Independence from England. There were quit a few slaves fighting and dying for the South. The abuses of Lincoln on our Constitution were many. The intellectuals of the late 19th and the early 20th century changed the way history was taught. Students could tell you the names and identify everyone in the picture of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and knew their beliefs. Christianity was removed from our schools, (it was regularly taught before then). Most Christians today are not even worthy of shining the shoes of even the worst of our forefathers, not alone can name more than 4 of them. I myself am not…but I’m working on it…
During the period from1864-1913, there were at least 4 collapses of our monetary system. Due to the economic growth of the time period The Federal Reserve was began. The FED had the authority to provide currency to stabilize economic needs in the banking system. Our monetary system was based on a gold standard; LBJ changed this during his administration, paying for the great society; Planting the cornerstones of the current financial crisis. Not to mention the 6 trillion we’ve spent on welfare.
Over the past 120 years there has been a lot of changes in our country, some have taken us in a direction towards socialistic ideas. Some have tried to keep these changes to a minimum, some have charged full speed. From Woodrow Wilsons war socialism to his conviction that the Constitution was out dated and in need of replacement with a new “living Constitution”. The brutality of his administration, caused many Americans to lay down there individual rights and march instep with his ideas of social control. Wilson’s acts of 1917 and1918 gave his administration the power to close down newspapers and magazines. Nobody dared speak out; even in there own homes, under fear of prosecution. There were over 150,000 Americans put in prison for doing so, in one case a man was prosecuted for speaking badly about War Bonds in the privacy of his own living room.
It was this foundation created by Wilson, which FDR used to launch his assault on our sacred freedom. Mussolini “declared America has a dictator”, “without Question” He continued, the “sea change” in America “resembles that of fascism”. In 1934 the Vlkischer Beobachter, the Nazi parties’ official newspaper; described FDR as a man of “irreproachable, extremely responsible character and immovable will” and a “warm-hearted leader of the people, with a profound understanding of social needs”. Hitler informed the US ambassador William Dodd that New Dealism was also “the quintessence of the German state philosophy”. FDR’s, “economic bill of rights” led to the many plans implemented under the new deal. The idea that it was OK to run a budget deficit in Federal Government was born. The FHA was born and planted the cornerstones of our current housing crisis.
Type the words “economic bill of rights” into your browser and then The Bill of Rights. The fore fathers believed in a small Federal government with basic duties, giving the majority of power to the states (at the time of the framing of the Constitution the word state meant very similar to the word country today; hence head of state). FDR continued to take the power from the states (read about Woodrow Wilson (if you can find anything)), and his appointments to the supreme court; allowed him to pretty much do as he wanted. The fundamental differences between the forefathers and the team of Wilson and FDR’s new deal have helped bring us to this point in history.
According to the former comptroller of The US, he estimates the true national debt is pushing 60 trillion dollars, over $440,000 for every man, woman, and child alive. There is no more money and no amount of taxation is going to change this… You can blame the war, you can blame people who took loans and couldn’t afford them, you can blame the Democrats and Republicans, you can blame Bush, or you can blame the squirrel who ran in front of your car. The main issue for me is not to pass it on. If the Government needs more money quit the cycle of tax and spend, and getting credit that we can’t pay for. The Bush tax cuts would have made a difference if they would have quit spending (this is evident by the increased revenue, and the reason Sen. Mc Cain voted against it). I’m not giving President Bush a pass; He signed the bills from both a Democrat and a Republican Congress that has led to this ridiculous amount of debt this year alone.
The socialist policies that We the People have allowed our employees to force on us have to stop…I will pay for my families insurance, I will scrub pots and pans; I will drive a car with 200,000 mis, I will work till I die; if it means stopping the cycle. Our children do not deserve to pay for our past mistakes. We must decide if we are going to live up to the challenge or allow it to continue. We must decide if we are going to be the united people we were on 9/12/2001 or the deniers we were on 9/10/2001. We must decide if we are going to be the once strong, country we are….
At present 31% of my paycheck goes to taxes, social security insurance (yes it is insurance not an entitlement), medical, and retirement, approximately another 19% to sales taxes, and property taxes. That’s a total of 50% of my income. Bush’s tax cuts equal approximately $2200 for me a year. If you make more than $34,000 you benefit from these tax cuts, it’s a fact.. The war in Iraq is winding down; we have handed over 12 provinces to the Iraqis, 6 to go. The surge worked. The Iraqi Government is working. We have not been attacked on American soil since 2001.
Yes, the markets suck; We the People will over come this.. No amount of redistribution of wealth is going to accomplish this. The Democrat Congress has helped fuel this housing crisis (if they could blame it on a Republican they would have crucified him at this crucial time in the election cycle). Along with a lame duck Republican President who has aided them. Our Fedzilla government has already spent over 2 trillion on this banking bailout; 750 billion that you know of; almost 1 trillion they have handed out in night sessions that they try to keep quiet.
As near as I can figure, Income redistribution will cost me $2000 a yr. (The dirty little details, when Bush’s tax cuts are repelled the tax rates go up) and I am middle class American… Unless we steal it from hard working Americans; there is no money for socialized education. Seeing what our colleges have become there is little hope our children will get a quality education anyway. There is no money to socialize medicine; it has failed; wherever it is tried. England has had to implement a self pay private health care system; just to handle the additional expenses. Canadians are suing to get private health care, willing to pay, over and above the outrages taxes they now pay.
What it comes down to, We the People have let our country down. We have let ourselves down. We have let each other down. We will let future generations down; if we continue to pretend that it’s not socialism. It is time for us to make sure that the people we put to work for us are working for us, and hold them to it. Our forefathers gave us the greatest documents in history I hope you will take the time to read them before the election. With a firm reliance on the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor…
