I've been trying to keep up with the bailouts and what is being spent and where. All
I have managed to do is to get lost in the political rhetoric, and double talk. I am more convinced now than ever before that our government has abandoned the people that it is supposed to protect and govern.
Some one tell me again, Why are we sending $700 Bil. of our tax money to the Wall Street Financial industry? I have always been taught that any government is to govern the people, not to…

Just checking this place out.
My boilerplate:
My Dad was a career Air Force man. For most of 25 years, I watched him get up, put on his uniform, and go to work every day. I was so proud of him. He managed military training operations at a SAC base in Michigan.
Out of the respect for the military that I gained early on from my personal knowledge of it, I decided to create a series of videos called A Line of Troops to highlight the human side of our brave troops.…

I have been in correspondence with a Brave and Patriotic American soldier, named Kevin, in Southern Afghanistan.
He is serving in our armed forces and is risking his life to try and stabilize and help Democracy in a Country that has never seen the kind of freedom that they have now.
He says he isn't brave and is just doing what everyone else would have done, but I beg to differ. Everyone else is NOT signing up to go to war. He did!
Kevin is an amazing soldier with a strong…

I certainly hope so. It will not be easy – he has an uphill battle to fight. Unfortunately for conservatives, a poisonous “beltway mentality” appears to rapidly be expanding its presence in the Republican party's agenda. This poisonous political corruption - elitist attitudes, a tendency towards appeasement and “trying to get along”, agreeing with the liberals pork-laden "spend and tax bills" designed to deconstruct our nation rather than stimulate our economy, a failure to take a stand on our…

Just came back from seeing the movie "Taken" with Liam Neeson, which was very good by the way. I was shocked at the audiences reaction in the scene where Neeson is torturing some slimy Albanian who is part of the sex slave trade. As Neeson is torturing the Albanian the whole audience was hooting and cheering him on. I was truly perplexed! If I had to take a guess, I would say that 90% of the audience voted for Obama. You know, the same Obama that is closing Gitmo because of the inhumane…

In a speech to his fellow Republican House members, Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., compared Daschle's issue with the tax problems that hindered the confirmation of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and those of Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., who is embroiled in a controversy over payment of taxes on a beachfront villa in the Dominican Republic.
"A pattern is developing," Cantor said. "The pattern is solidified. ... It's easy for the other side to sit here and advocate higher taxes because…

We let the Liberals define who we are and let them take away our defining issue.
NO issue, important to the conservative movement, will ever be heard, other than b******* sessions, unless we wake up. It makes no difference what we think on any issue if we do not take back the the economy.
Capitalism will die along with our conservative ideals. There are two kinds of war, physical and hearts and minds. We have lost the hearts and mind war of the American masses. Our leaders…

This is one of a number of replies I've posted on various blogs. America is being destroyed from the inside out.
Where is a John Galt to rally around?
...
No, the snark wasn't lost on me. I was hoping that, just maybe, someone would see my last reply and think "Stealth Jihad? Hmmmmm....."
What can we do to reverse things? Buy guns, ammo, food supplies, items to barter with, a place in the country, and more ammo. In my opinion, it's already too late - the…
