Over the weekend, Ron Paul – the most popular liberty-minded leader who attempted to run for President – was asked by the media about Gov. Rick Perry’s statements towards secession. He stated that, “It is a very legitimate issue to debate, because all the states that came into the Union before the Civil War believed they had a right to secede. New England in the early part of the nineteenth century actually considered it, and no-body questioned them about whether they had the right to do it… Continue

It is no secret that business and jobs are flowing to Texas from California but that is not the only state that is benefiting with new jobs as a response to higher taxes in once was called the Golden State.
According to the Goldwater Institute, Arizona saw a net influx of about $2.89 billion in income since the start of the recession from 2007 through the end of 2010. Illinois and Michigan have also benefits from businesses fleeing states with high taxes.

The Texas Rangers are the second oldest state law enforcement agency in the United States. They initially functioned as a paramilitary force during the time that the Republic of Texas was an independent country. Today the Rangers function as the Texas State Bureau of Investigation. Over time, they… Continue

Many of the groups and members in the Texas movement are ramping up for
a big immigration enforcement push before memorial day. I'd like to ask
that all of you get involved and stay involved in this issue. Indeed, I
can think of no problem confronting the citizens of Texas or the larger
United States that would not be measurably improved by securing our
borders, and enforcing our immigration laws at the Local, County, State
and Federal level. Please consider… Continue

This is the sort of poll where Texans really don't want to 'represent' (maybe it's time Texans consider an 'alternative' for Governor?):
The following is from our Friends at Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW):
The results are in! As announced by Citizens Against Government Waste President Tom Schatz on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” this morning, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) is the “winner” of CAGW’s online poll for 2009 Porker of the Year.… Continue

Folks, the Texas Gubernatorial election increasingly seems to boil our choices down the 'lesser of several evils'. Withe the potential for liberal Democrats to make some gains in the Texas House and Senate, and the GOP and state Republican party maintaining staunch support for the RINO incumbents in our state, our choice for Governor is more important than it's ever been. Neither Perry or Hutchison are remarkable for the support of our views, values, and interests, and both these candidates are… Continue

The following is an excerpt from an Op/Ed in today's The Cypress Times, wherein the writer, Darrel Mulloy suggests that both the DNC and the GOP are rotten to the core and all the protests in the world won't change that; his solution: SECEDE!! At least for the State of Texas.
There is a growing movement to return Freedom to the people of The Republic of Texas. Lone Star citizens ready to say "Adios" to the U.S.

It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas? The writing has long been on the wall that unless the GOP begins to better work with Latinos, the GOP will continue to lose races and be a minority party.
It is equally important, of course, for the Latino community to realize that true political identity will be achieved only through participation in all national party structures - Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Independent, etc. We… Continue

I felt I must continue to press upon you all an issue that cannot go ignored by Texans. We need to call our State Senators and Representatives immediately concerning House Concurrent Resolution 50! For those of you that are unaware, H.C.R. 50 is the Texas version of New Hampshire's H.C.R. 6 which affirms the States' Rights according to Jeffersonian Principals. There is one critical difference between these two documents that MUST be included in H.C.R. 50 for the assured preservation of the… Continue

I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be permanently surrounded by libs on all sides. I've done it for short periods of time before. A couple trips to Seattle... several to LA... a number of European cities... neat places to check out, but I wouldn't want to live there.
At least here in Texas, people assume you're Conservative FIRST, then they chip away at their assumption little by little through observation of your idiosyncrasies... hmmm... long hair, eh? Probably a… Continue
