Bush Surveillance Program Ruled Unconstitional

According to a decision made by the 9th Circuit Court in Seattle Washington, the Bush administration may have violated the basic U. S. constitutional liberties in what it said was a communication dragnet of ordinary American citizens. The former president had confirmed that the program existed in a 2006 speech.

Tucson Arizona Businesses Hiring Illegal Immigrants Ruling

On May 26, 2011 the Supreme Court of the United States sustained the law that penalizes businesses for hiring illegal immigrants. In a ruling that will affect Tucson as well as the State of Arizona, the Court rejected the arguments that states have no role in immigration matters.

This means that the state has the authority to impose sanctions on employers who hire unauthorized workers.

Gun possession law revolt among U.S. States

An increasing number of U.S. states are revolting against the Federal Government's attempts to control the possession of firearms. Individual states are adopting laws exempting guns and ammunition made, sold and used in the state from federal regulations under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
