You can count on me I hate shopping so much it wont be hard. I say make it go through till the end of Christmas season. Buy fruit for the people you love and things they will need to get through this next year. Dried foods in which you just add water. efoodsdirect has alot of wonderful foods I have tasted samples and my order is on the way. Go that route for christmas.

If you're going to strike retail businesses on Black Friday focus on all of the big box retailers: WalMart, Sears, KMart, Best Buy, ect. Raise your voices (purchasing power) with them and they will cry out to the Beltway.

You said,""Big Box Retailers-they call it black friday-because supposedly the sales they make on black friday take them out of the RED INK and into the Black. ""

I hope so. We are counting on it.

Big Box Retailers-they call it black friday-because supposedly the sales they make on black friday take them out of the RED INK and into the Black. You are entitled to your opinion. Believe me-this hurts me big time as well-but I am doing it because sometimes we need to put ourselves out for a greater cause.

It's wrong. It is important to retailers, as you said in your first post.

Kellye-this is a one day strike-people will still be shopping the rest of the Christmas season including saturday and sunday. It's only for one day...

Help. I don't get it. I agree with you about this horrible healthcare bill. Why do we want to strike on Black Friday? My husband's salary as a retail manager is low and we count on monthly bonuses to make ends meet. He has had 2 out of the last 12 months. We can't even pay our bills on time. He needs his store to get added sales for November and December. Maybe I am not understanding you correctly. I have been to many Tea Parties-putting companies out of business has never been on the agenda-PEOPLE with families work there!
