The History Channel, in a documentary probing the possibility that aliens have visited Earth cited a vision that George Washington encountered while the Continental Army was encamped for the bitter winter at Valley Forge and raised the possibility that the vision was from extra-terrestrial beings. The most obvious extra-terrestrial being that comes to mind of those grounded in Christ is that Washington encountered a meeting with an Angel of the Lord. An account of Washington's vision, can be found at veracity.org.
One who doubts this occurred might only be reminded that our young republic narrowly missed survival during the War of 1812. Much of Washington D.C. was burned by the British, but the following day a tornado ripped through Washington D.C. and headed straight toward the British occupation. According to the article at http://www.afweather.af.mil,
"The British Army regrouped near Capitol Hill, a bit shaken by the harsh weather and decided to depart Washington that evening. Downed trees across roads hampered their journey and when they reached their ships, it was discovered two had broken free from their moorings and were washed ashore. The British Commander later reported that more of their soldiers were wounded and killed by this catastrophic disaster than from all the firearms the American troops could muster in their ineffectual defense of Washington.
President James Madison and his cabinet returned to Washington and started the rebuilding of our Capitol. Never again, would a foreign army enter our city and only rarely would Washingtonians see a tornado".
We are a nation that owes its very existence to the protection of and intervention of God. It is within this context that the outlandish comments made by President Barack Obama should be weighed. John R. Houk, just recently posted an article that shows a Youtube video titled, A Walk for the President. All Americans should realize that without God's blessing, America is doomed to the fate that Israel and Judah suffered for their wickedness. A spirit of repentance and constant prayer are needed so that our land retains the blessings that are associated with REMAINING A CHRISTIAN NATION.

I can't help but wonder where this path America is on will lead. From what I can see, it ain't good, and can't stay where it is.
