A student who attended Columbia University at the same time period that President Barack Obama did, Wayne Allyn Root, does not remember seeing Mr. Obama on campus. He posted on TheBlaze.com, a response to his take on the Harry Reid accusations about Mitt Romney's tax returns. In the post, Mr. Root, who is a respected Las Vegas oddsmaker,"I smell something rotten in Denmark, Obama has a skeleton in his closet.  It's his college records. Call it a 'gut instinct', but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it's a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency.  Gut instinct is how I've made my living for 29 years since graduating Columbia."  The remainder of the post basically insinuated that Mr. Root's questioning of Barack Obama actually merited more standing and was more credible than any assertions that Harry Reid could make about Mitt Romney because he (Mr. Root) was a classmate of Barack Obama's and didn't remember him, and that Mitt Romney should call Barack Obama's bluff and demand that all of his sealed documents be released before any more of his (Mr. Romney's) tax returns are released.  Mr. Root also appeared in an interview with Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel. In the interview, Mr. Root gave a plausible explanation for why he never saw Barack Obama on campus. He said that "it was possible that the current President was too busy smoking pot and attending socialist meetings."  Rush Limbaugh read Mr. Root's entire post on his show and also revealed what Donald Trump made about Harry Reid's accusations. Mr. Trump said on Fox News that releasing lots of tax returns by Mitt Romney for President Obama's sealed records would be a "very good trade to make" for Mr. Romney.

In an interview with Chicago Talk Radio Station WLS, Mr. Trump said, "If you want to play the game you've got to play it to ways.  I think that cry for Mitt Romney's tax returns has gone down a lot, since people have said, (to Obama)

 'Ok, we'll release tax returns, but you have to release your college transcripts and applications. You have to release other things, INCLUDING your PASSPORT RECORDS.  And all of a sudden, it's an amazing phenomena how that clamoring for the tax returns has come down.  I don't hear too much about the tax returns over the last few days."  Considering the amount of money that has been spent by Barack Obama to keep records of his past sealed, such a trade is doubtfully forthcoming.
