In typical liberal race-baiting fashion, according to Breitbart.com, Cher has said that Mitt Romney is a racist. Of course, she failed to provide any proof to back up her accusation. In his July 30 article Cher Uses McCarthyism to Attack Romney, Christian Toto said, "Cher isn't simply attacking Romney's record, though. She's calling him a racist, putting her in league with fellow liberals scrambling to talk about anything but President Barack Obama's record." According to Twitchy.com, Cher said in a Twitter.com tweet,"If u dont know my politics,U do now! I must fight against these T-Baggies ! Michele Bachman & Sarah these r the best they got ! Bring it !"

Mr. Toto's article makes the point that Cher's accusation was without merit by pointing out that she was using McCarthy-like tactics. If one were to assume that Senator Joseph McCarthy was validly accused of using witch-hunt like tactics in order to uncover Communism in America, then indeed Mr. Toto has a valid point.  However, the Venona Papers tell us that Joseph McCarthy was correct in most of his accusations. More appropriate terms might be coined on Cher, like Clintonism, Obamunism, Holderism, or Pinnochioism.
