"The federal contraceptive mandate cannot stand because it attempts to confine religion inside church walls – and that’s not what faith is about!!" speakers told the San Francisco rally at the Federal Building at Seventh and Mission streets reports Valerie Schmalz of Catholic San Francisco. Over 480 people gathered in Washington, D.C. to protest the mandate, and more than 1700 gathered to protest in Barack Obama's home territory of Chicago, Illinois, according to StandUpForReligiousFreedom.com.  Jane Everson said of the rally in Yankton, South Dakota,

"We enjoyed a beautiful fall day as we brought attention to the HHS Mandate’s infringement on our First Amendment.  We sang patriotic hymns and paid tribute to our veterans and service men and women.  Acknowledging  that we as American’s need to accept our responsibility for our country as well built momentum.  All of our actions make a difference!  All of our votes do count!"  Well said Jane, well said.
