Don't tread on me: how 9/11 inspired two friends to start their patriotic flag company

Of course, I said sure. So they will be linking to me shortly. But I didn't want to wait to return the favor, after I saw their cool site.
The Tea Party and "9/12" movements have repopularized the Gadsden "Don't Tread on Me" image, as well as Benjamin Franklin's "Join or Die" snake and the Culpeper Minuteman flag.

"We (Larry and Patrick) founded Gadsden and Culpeper American Heritage Shoppe, Ltd. on October 1st 2001 outside of Albany, NY. Like all of us, we were deeply affected and angered by the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and like most of us, we adorned our homes with the Stars and Stripes to display our pride, unity and resilience.
"Being friends since grammar school, we both have accumulated a collection of historical flags over the years, and we went into our attics and closets and pulled out our Gadsden Flags. Never feeling threatened like this before, we both added the Don’t Tread on Me flag alongside our American Flag.
"Constant questions and interest from our friends and family, neighbors, and strangers about the Gadsden flag made us realize three things: 1) People love the Gadsden Flag and it’s motto “Don’t Tread On Me” 2) A lot of people do not know much about this American Historical Flag. 3) The availability of the “Don’t Tread on Me” flags and other products is limited.
"So, we put our thoughts and limited resources together and created our company with this goal in mind. “To be America’s Official Don’t Tread on Me Outfitter: by providing inspiring historical information, a wide variety of unique quality products and excellent customer service.”

Also -- if this free audio link works from Rush's newsletter -- it's a caller from his show today (9-30-09) -- and it was very interesting to listen to this segment. The above link to Palin's book also came from Rush's newsletter.
