Rising risk factors to health insurance companies will raise premiums and health care deductibles for all employees. According to aids.gov, approximately 64% of all new AIDS infections arise from men who have sexual encounters with other men.

Actuaries at the insurance companies will be adjusting those rates to account for the additional projected costs of paying for the expensive health care of potential terminally ill AIDS patients.

Gay marriage will also increase federal government expenditures.  According to the Congressional Budget Office in 2009, providing additional health insurance benefits through the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program causes the largest increase in both mandatory and discretionary spending between 2010 and 2019, $590 million and $266 million, respectively. These figures do not include increased expenditures due to social security survivor benefits.
