We as a nation were founded as a Republic. When at the first Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin was asked by a lady when he left one day as they disbanded, "What Government did you give us, Mr Franklin?" he famously replied "A Republic, Madam, if you can keep it!"

We are in grave danger of losing this, our Republic, as President Obama and Congress have been so emboldened now with their new-found power, that they are seizing large chunks of private wealth and property, in a frenzied fashion that says to me that they are not worried about how we as citizens will respond. This is akin to looters in an unarmed neighborhood, who know the police are way too busy elsewhere to do anything about it. Make no mistake, the entrenched political element in America is no better than a band of criminals, but unfortunately, they have control of bureaucracies, law enforcement, and the courts. We are not without our own power, but we much wield it wisely, surgically, and with great consideration for what we wish to accomplish, and how. We must make them fear us, using our voices and our votes. The must hear us, as a unified front that will tolerate their thievery no more!

We cannot allow this wholesale looting of our nation's wealth and status to continue, and we must all become as active as we can. There will be sacrifices to do this, and for that, I am ready. I will take the day of April 15th, and be in Washington, DC for the TEA Party Protest. I will be active locally, and am going to work for any Conservative who runs against my Congressional representatives (Mikulski, Cardin, and Hoyer...yeah, I have it that bad!). I am going to put time and effort in to trying to make sure that our descendants are free, in ways like we have not been. It will require commitment, but unlike our founders, I am sacrificing little. But I took an oath in 1975, when I joined the US Army, to defend this nation from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. The enemy of our nation is from with-in, and with-out. IN order to get to dealing with the enemy with-out, we must first depose the enemy with-in.

I urge and plead with all, join the rally in Washington, DC on 15 April 2010, and show those in Congress and at the White House that we are ready to take back our nation.
