Indeed Iran may be preparing for impending war.  According to the IAEA report in May, Iran has enough enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs.  According to Reza Khalili of World Net Daily, the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khameini said that there will be no turning back from the nuclear path.  According to former CIA operative Khalili, the

 supreme leader's representative to the Revolutionary Guards, Ali Saeedi said that the Islamic Republic must directly confront America in order to create the necessary chaos for the return of the Mahdi, the Shiite's 12th imam.  According to  Abbaswatchman.com, Ayatollah Khameini top leaders on August 1st that they would be at war within weeks, as reported by  www.debka.com.  These looming events may indeed be the  fulfillment of Biblical prophecy

foretold in the book of Ezekiel in Chapters 38 and 39 of a war between the northern kingdom (possibly Iran, Syria, Russia, and China) against the Southern Kingdom (possibly Israel, the United States, Western Europe, Turkey, & the Gulf Arab States).
