On August 2nd at TheBlaze.com, Billy Hallowell wrote an article that featured several companies that, in a fashion similar to that of Chik-Fil-A, publicly share their Christian views. Mr. Hallowell highlighted Forever 21, Interstate Batteries, Tyson Foods, In-N-Out Burgers, and Hobby Lobby for incorporating their faith in day to day operations. Another Christian based business that is worthy of acknowledgment is the Jesus Christ is Lord Travel Center in Amarillo, Texas.
Their website at www.jesuschristislordtravelcenter.com says, "Our goal is to bring encouragement to you as you are traveling. Our main focus at Jesus Christ is Lord Travel Center is to present to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord." LeadPipeEnt@YouTube.com shows a close up view of the travel center in his video "World Adventure: Jesus Christ Is
Lord Travel Center in Amarillo, TX." The travel center is a good place to fill up the tank with gas and to fill your tummy with delicious honey biscuits and cajun style chicken tender fillets. In addition to numerous Christian novelty items and stellar Southern hospitality, the Jesus Christ is Lord Travel Center also provides worship services on Sunday at 8 a.m. and Bible study on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the small chapel in the rear of the establishment.
Services are conducted by Shop Manager Dennis Sprouse who is also on call 24 hours as the travel center chaplain. Mr. Sprouse sums up the mission on his business card which says, "Our main focus at Jesus Christ is Lord Travel Center is to present to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord and not a swear word. If you notice on our trailers you will see the name of Jesus Christ. Our heart yearns for the world to know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior."
