LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!!
August is a time for action.
Our esteemed elected officials are going to be home. Well the ones that have any guts anyhow.
This is the time we become local, work our own districts and states. We would do good to organize with local groups. Bring our grievances to our representatives, Democrat and Republican. I’m sure there are a few Dems that are having second thoughts.
This is the battle that can turn the tide. I still have faith that all Americans have in them latent American traditionalism. As Americans, losing our liberty is like losing a limb; once it’s gone we know there is no getting it back. But to loose our freedom is to lose our souls; this we can surely do with out.
This is going to be one of many battles, let’s shoot the first real salvo. Let’s let them know we are on to them. Their agenda is not new, F.D.R. played the same game and we are still reminded of it today.
Enough! Let’s speak with one voice, under one banner.

ahh... thanks for clearing that up. I just wasn't clear who you were speaking to. I wasn't sure if I was going to have to caution Bobby to stay away from Greyhounds ... lol

??jim -- not sure I understand that one, you may need to explain it.
I agree with you Bobby, this is one of the most intense times that we need to be getting in touch with our Reps and Senators while congress is on break. Many people think of congressional breaks as vacations, but for many serious representatives, it is the time they can "get back home" and rub shoulders and talk with people of their district. We all need to take advantage of that. Attend local political meetings with our state and Washington reps, attend local political party organizational meetings, and support those that are representing our views in both the state and federal offices. It is amazing how public opinion can sway votes when representatives really do hear from their constituents.
