UPDATE:
We created a Memorial Day group for those wanting to honor men and women who have given their life serving in the US military. Post your comments and images - Memorial Day Group

Memorial Day is this Monday. While many will celebrate the weekend with hot dogs and cookouts, we need to remember that Memorial Day is a holiday in which we remember those in the military who have given their life for our country.

TCUnation salutes all those who have given their life, served and are serving in the United States military.

About Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 25 in 2009). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. EOTB. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war), it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.

I am reminded on a daily basis how great our military people our. My father-in-law Retired Airforce Maj. Donald Dale DeHoff almost died in the Veitnam war in an airplane accident (almost decapitated), so I think our military should be honored every day & Obama needs to kiss there ass for being there protecting him and giving him the right to be where he is today.

more people should take time to remember what this really means.. My father fought in the Korean, VietNam and WWII. I was extremely proud of him and he never forgot!

We will celebrate by watching "Saving Private Ryan" again. Thanks to all of you who serve, or have served! Remember that Freedom is never Free!
