According to Breitbart.com, the Obama campaign has been caught taking liberty with the facts again. It appears that the Obama camp and The Boston Globe colluded to distort the truth about Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital. Dylan Byars of Politico.com parroted an article by the Globe at 8:37 a.m. EDT that suggested that according to FactCheck.org, Romney may have committed a felony. Campaign member Stephanie Cutter in a tweet referred to Mitt Romney as "either a felon or a liar."
FactCheck.org had in fact only responded to assertions by the Obama campaign that Governor Romney had stayed at Bain Capital longer than he said he did, which was untrue because Mitt left Bain in 1999 to run the Olympics (most people know that the Olympics were in 2000, but apparently the Obama campaign was not aware of that. That's understandable, Barack also said he had been to all 57 states during his last campaign, so maybe we should cut them some slack.). At 9:32 a.m. Dylan Byers of Politico said the Romney camp claimed that the Globe report was inaccurate. At 10:37 a.m. Mr. Byers posted another article at 11:43 am that contained a public statement by FactCheck.org that stated,
"We would reassess our judgment should somebody come up with evidence that Romney took part in any specific management decision or had any active role (not just a title) at Bain after he left to head the Olympics," Jackson wrote. "But in our considered judgment, nothing in the Globe story directly contradicts Romney's statements — which he has certified as true under pain of federal prosecution — that he 'has not had any active role' with Bain or 'been involved in the operations' of Bain since then."
At 1:37 p.m Mr. Byars posted another story that posted a statement from Bain Capital regarding Mr. Romney's tenure there. They replied,
"Mitt Romney left Bain Capital in February 1999 to run the Olympics and has had absolutely no involvement with the management or investment activities of the firm or with any of its portfolio companies since the day of his departure. Due to the sudden nature of Mr. Romney's departure, he remained the sole stockholder for a time while formal ownership was being documented and transferred to the group of partners who took over management of the firm in 1999. Accordingly, Mr. Romney was reported in various capacities on SEC filings during this period."
Breitbart.com then posted a demand by the Romney campaign that demanded an apology from the Obama campaign and a retraction from the Boston Globe.
“President Obama’s campaign hit a new low today when one of its senior advisers made a reckless and unsubstantiated charge to reporters about Mitt Romney that was so over the top that it calls into question the integrity of their entire campaign,” said Matt Rhoades, Campaign Manager of Romney For President. “President Obama ought to apologize for the out-of-control behavior of his staff, which demeans the office he holds. Campaigns are supposed to be hard fought, but statements like those made by Stephanie Cutter belittle the process and the candidate on whose behalf she works.”
According to Erick Erickson at Redstate.com, Factcheck.org notes,
"We find the Obama campaign’s evidence to be weak or non-existent, and contrary to statements Romney has made on official disclosure forms under pain of federal prosecution."
The Presidential drama continues at a FAST and FURIOUS pace as it appears that Joe Biden may not be the only gaffe machine in the Obumble campaign. The continual attempts of the left to tie Mr. Romney to Bain Capital outsourcing keeps eroding at the credibility of Obama's minions as Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was also outed today for her Swiss Bank account and investment in the Bank of India.

As stated yesterday in a prior Shayn Roby article regarding the Obama campaign promoting the Romney outsourcing farce,
