Pastor Wiley Drake was arrested yesterday, according to USANewsFirst.com at approximately 5:50pm EST on September 29, 2012, for defending our religious freedom in front of the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. as part of the "Stand For Religious Freedom Rally", along with Bryan Kemper: Director of youth outreach at Priests for Life and 20 other members of the group
ActsFive29, a group of like-minded, pro-life defenders according to Dave Tombers at World Net Daily. “We must take this stand now, or we will have no freedom to do so tomorrow,”said Bryan Kemper. “I will obey God rather than man.” he courageously asserted. The rally and Rosary Service in front of and across from the White House are being held in response to President Obama's HHS Mandate which forces people of faith and conscience to violate their core beliefs and values. mandate is a violation of religious liberty guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
According to ChristianNewswire.com, the rally and rosary service is part of a national event which is being held in over 105 cities across the nation to speak out against the HHS Mandate. Speakers for the "Stand Up For Religous Freedom Rally" will include, Father Frank Pavone: National Director of Priests for Life, Brandi Swindell: Founder and President of Stanton Healthcare, Lila Rose: President of Live Action, Rev. Rob Schenck: President of The National Clergy Council, Rev. Bryan Fischer: Director of Issues Analysis for the American Family Association, Kristina Garza: Campus Outreach Director for Survivors, Father Marcel Guarnizo, Bryan Kemper: National Youth Director for Priests for Life.
Christian businesses are being forced to comply with financing and subsidizing acts that run contrary to their core values through the HHS mandate portion of Affordable (not really) Care Act. This policy constitutes oppression at its very core. The editor at wrote "What would our Founders advise pastors today? 'Let the pulpits thunder against oppression [of King George]', said John Adams. And the pulpits thundered." Our pulpits need to continue to thunder about the immoral garbage that is being forced down the throats of Christians and engage in nonviolent civil disobedience like that exhibited by the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. and his brother, Reverend Alfred Daniel Williams King are willing to be incarcerated in order to take a stand for what is right. Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life told Dave Tombers at World Net Daily, “We have stood up for life and religious freedom in hundreds of cities. Today we do so at the president’s house. I am delighted to be here.” Even if we can't be in front of the White House and be the "boots on the ground" as characterized by Pastor Wiley Drake, we can still be vigilant and put "prayers in the air". A solid core of prayerful, moral, and courageous Americans dedicated to standing for righteousness will result in CHANGE that matters, not some fake mantra plagiarized from Cezar Chavez (Si se puede) or one that is rooted in the theories of Karl Marx (Forward or Vorwoerts) and the principles of Lucifer disciple Saul Alinsky.
