Even suggesting that someone who has become ill or destitute due to their actions often brings out the swarm of liberals who insist that the individual speculating that evil conduct may indeed be the root of the problem is an insensitive, bigoted "Bible thumper". Pastor Stephen Andrew at USAChristianMinistries.com says that if we heed God's commands “by repenting from sin,and bringing back the Holy Bible and Christian prayer to schools, helping the righteous, being  pro-life advocates and supporting marriage of one man and one woman,"....that God will restore us and "jobs, unity and Christian liberty will come back. God blesses those who obey Him, but by sin curses happen.” he says.  Indeed, this is scriptural because Galatians 6: 7-8 tells us "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for awhatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For bthe one who sows to his own flesh cwill from the flesh reap corruption, but dthe one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."  Proverbs 7:2 says that if you "keep my (God's) commandments and (you will) live; and that you should "keep my (God's) teaching as jthe apple of your eye.  Indeed that means there are consequences for every decision that we make and every act that we commit, whether it be righteous or wicked.

Romans 1: 18-32 according to GotQuestions.org, "teaches that the sin of homosexuality has its roots in a denial of God. It brings about shame, degradation, and a “due penalty.” Since STDs such as AIDS / HIV are attendant, for the most part, upon sexual sin, they must be considered as part of the “penalty” which reveals “the wrath of God” against the wickedness of men (verse 18)."  

According to WhatSaithTheScripture.com America's existence as a nation has been a blessing of God's Providence. "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof" (Leviticus 25:10). It has been no accident that the United States of America has experienced an abundance that has attracted the attention of the world. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance" (Psalm 33:12). Only God can make a nation rich. "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:22).

Just as there is abundance for those that follow the Lord, there is also curse and retribution for those who do not.  God has indeed instructed us to return to him and also to protect his chosen people: The Israelites. Amos 6: 1-7 says "Woe to you who are complacent in Zion....You drink wine by the bowlful
    and use the finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.
⁷ Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile;
    your feasting and lounging will end.

There are many signs of GOD's judgement on America."

A nation is blessed or cursed in proportion to how it obeys or disobeys THE WORD OF GOD. Consider the judgement of Israel. When they obeyed GOD, they were blessed. When they disobeyed GOD, they were cursed."

America's blessings have waned as immorality has increased. If America heeds the warnings of God, then indeed, She will be restored to prosperity. Will she heed His call?  Time will tell.
