TCUnation Featured Member - Kevin Jackson "The Black Sphere" PART II

Kevin Jackson is a blogger, radio host and just released a new book titled "The Big Black Lie". This is Part II of Kevin's feature. See Part I Here.

Continued from Part I

How do you deal with the inevitable feelings of isolation and disapproval you get with many in the black community?

You say these feeling are inevitable? I guess my "feelings of isolation" are still pending! I have found a multitude of "like-thinkers" in the black community. They may be less vocal, however these people exist, and in larger numbers than most think. I believe books like mine will provide the impetus for them to reveal themselves more readily.

Next, if I were to feel "isolation"--and I don't--I assure you that I am extremely comfortable "in my own skin." I would not mind the isolation, should it occur. The idea that I would limit myself to the black world is like buying into the notion that I need a "Black History Month!" No thank you, I will just take the whole year, like everybody else.

Most of the world readily accepts people like me, i.e. people who want nothing except what they deserve and earn. Most people judge people by their deeds and their character, and by their personal experience with the individual...not anecdotal references.

As for disapproval of black Democrats, I frankly could care less. It's this simple. I am right and they are wrong. I would be happy to debate any of them on what squandering their votes for Democrats, for decades, has done to improve "the black condition." Further, my facts on the racist history of Democrats are irrefutable. Those racist policies continue to this day, though they are more subtle.

In light of Rev. Wright's recent remarks about "them Jews", can you perhaps say a few words about the role the pastor place in the black community, and whether this is a positive or a negative.

Wright is the scourge of the black community. To call him a "pastor" is to denigrate the word. He is more of a cult leader. He spews racism, and uses the handful of whites in his church as tokens. Wright is not a man of God in any way. He and many others exude hatred and racism. Note that I didn't call it "reverse racism," because there really is no such thing. Anybody can be racist, and Wright certainly is. The idea that somebody can baselessly despise a group of people is not Christian-like in any way.

A few years ago, Larry Elder also declared that 'blacks were more racist than whites'. After some controversy, the topic faded away. Do you see critics like Elder and yourself making any real headway in changing people's minds?

Elder was right in many respects, however he can add many white liberals in the same racist category.

As far as degrees of racism goes, I consider ignorant racists the 2nd worst kind. Blacks (and some liberal whites) know little about the history of racism with Democrats, then blindly vote for Democrats, so they qualify as ignorant racists. In the last election, Black Panthers were at polling places intimidating Republicans--the people who freed the slaves, have protected the rights of blacks decades, passing ALL legislation that allowed blacks to vote, to humanize blacks, and to protect blacks. If that doesn't proves the ignorance of blacks in the political discussion, then I don't know what does. Just a few decades back it was the Democrat founded organization known as the KKK who was intimidating blacks from voting...overwhelmingly Republican! Talk about the irony.

Then there are the worst racists who know what is happening to the black community by perpetrating the insanity, yet and they pimp it. These are the Wrights, Jacksons, Sharptons, Clintons, and the best I have seen to date...the Obamas. They act like they care, and they do...they care about lining their pockets or increasing their power at the expense of blacks. I consider these people evil sociopaths...some even worse.

What is your advice to the GOP leadership, as they try again and again to attract African-American voters? Is this a losing battle?

I say to the GOP leadership not to pander to blacks or any other ethnic group for that matter. The GOP should remain centered on the core values of America, and not get distracted by the Left. For example the discussion of torture. There are very few Americans who wouldn't want the harshest of torture, if it meant getting back one of their loved ones. The Left has a way of making torture some sort of emotionally abstract issue. Well it's not. If a terrorist wants to kill Americans, then most Americans could care less about limits on interrogation. The candidate who speaks truthfully on this will win over the American people.

The majority of American people are tired of being called racist or elitist, and they are also tired of apologizing. The current political climate is to demonize America, then come off "holier than thou" by apologizing for us. Apologize for what? Americans being the most giving nature in the history of man. When we are wrong, we admit it. But we are right much more than we are wrong. We can learn from micro-economics of a good family. Parents are aren't perfect, but they do their best. And usually the children benefit. Liberal politicians act like America is an abusive, drug addicted father, brutalizing family and friends. Nothing could be further from the truth.

With all your political projects what do you do to relax?

LOL! My family and I love to travel. We have a big trip to San Francisco every year for an event, and then to Lake Tahoe to the cabin. I am an avid martial artist, and try to train as often as possible, so that is my weekly "vent!"

Right now the mission is too grave to rest much. We must change congress in 2010 and the presidency in 2012! Won't rest much between now and then!

FINAL THOUGHTS from Kevin-

My message is that conservatives are the same at our cores, for the most part, and so are many liberals. We can have our slight differences, but when it comes to love of country, protection of our liberties, we don't differ much. A united coalition of conservatives can defeat even the oppression of the Obama administration, which has the potential to cripple America. The message in my book The BIG Black Lie is that conservatives need to confront the lies of the Left. We need to stop playing by the rules, when there are no rules. It is time we put racism (and classism) where it belongs...on the Left! I hope this book becomes a best-seller, not because I will be in the spotlight. Anybody who knows how conservatives are demagogued know what I mean. I hope this book is widely read, because I believe it will change a lot of the thinking for conservatives in America. Fantastic, Kevin! I need to find a way to get your book "anonymously" into the hands of my husbands family. He's black, I'm white. Because I voted against Obama and was vocal about my views, I was labeled a rascist, I was told I was ignorant of black history and disrespectful to the family because "didn't I know that most blacks are and vote democrat" and it was "white republicans" who caused all the problems on wall street, etc. I have always felt that when Martin Luther King Jr. said we should strive for the day people were judged on the content of their character and not the color of their skin, that this was truly the goal...and sometimes now I feel many used that statement against others to foster the guilt and shut down debate before becoming the rascists themselves...do you know what I mean? I am married to their brother...I'm the bigot...I didn't make assumptions about their political views and tried to debate the issues...but I'm the bigot...it hurts...but I won't give up even though we don't speak anymore.

I just found this Conservative Social Site this Morning by way of Facebook and already I have enjoyed what I have read in this Blog. I am sure Mr. Jackson is indeed having more Blacks and Whites sharing his beliefs. I am looking forward to reading his book and learning from his experiences. Thanks for having this "Great American" as a feature member.

You should be a speaker at the September 12th rally Kevin. Keep up the great work you are doing. I will definitely buy and read your book this summer.

Kevin - Thanks for having the courage to speak out. You are an inspiration to me. I'm tired of being called a racist because I voted against President Obama. Nothing would please me more than to see hundreds of thousands of Black Conservatives in the future. Strong Black Leaders such as yourself can spread the message. I am committing to order your book today.

Kevin, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm looking forward to keeping up with your progress spreading the conservative message. I'm convinced racism stays alive because politicians use it as fuel. Most Americans want the same things. We need to stop allowing ourselves to be distracted by politicians' personal agendae and take our country back! Thanks for the work you are doing, and best wishes to you and your family!

Great comments Kevin. Being a white, middle class, small business owner, I hear a lot of misconceptions about race evryday. As a small business owner, everyone assumes that I was born into money and that I always " Had it made ". I usually let whomever I'm speaking with get through with what ever negative remarks they have and politely let them know a little bit of my own history and life observations. I've had the opportunity to view both sides of the fence on racial tolerism and, like it or not it's not leaving us anytime soon. Growing up I , along with my 6 brothers, was placed into the custody of Texas as a ward of the state because of my parents divorcing when I was 3 years old, in and out of 10 or so foster homes and living with differnt family members from time to time, I was able to live in a lot of differnt places and situations. At age 11, I along with one of my older brothers, ended up being placed in The Corsicana State Home, rum by the Texas Youth Commission. This was a lot different than living in a small town where I really didn't fit in either. ( At 11 years old, I think I actually had the longest hair in town, not just at school.) At the Home we were living among 300 - 500 other kids with all different backgrounds and races. One of the best things living in this type of environment is that you can really see how differently people think of one another. I was glad to have made so many friends at the Home and feel blessed that each one really kind of molded me into the guy I am now. Sure the color issue was always coming up at the Home, black, white, brown, not really any other colors in the pot out there, but it was part of living there. I really feel that racism is an individual feeling. After growing up in all the places I did, I have learned that you have bad people and you have good people. It doesn't matter what the color of the skin is. I really enjoy speaking with people that are more positive than negative. I hope people will wake up and understand that a lot of the things going on in Washington are not going to help much in the long run. We can't exist with a Government run Nation. It's about time we just all stand up and say I shouldn't have to pay for everyone elses mistakes. Too little time for such a big subject. Is it too late to start a new Party? I was thinking maybe something in between the far left and the far right, maybe call it the New Republicans, with a smaller less involved agenda, say 10 to 20 issues and stand on a platform that " If it's Right then it's Good ". Stay well and God Bless! Sterling

Kevin, I appreciate your thoughts and views. You and Bill Cosby, you are great! My problem is that the vast majority of the BLACK culture still think everything is OWED to them. For me and mine I don't owe anyone anything. I've had to work for what I have as have my children. Now Obama is trying to give it all away. None of us have had to serve in the military, but would have if we had been called. Even this day I would sacrifice my life for my country and my patriotic countrymen at the drop of a hat. I would fight at your side as long as you would fight at mine. Keep up the good fight.

I don't know why truth should be so difficult, but Kevin has found it. True conservatives preserve what has been good in society.Others would like to re-write history.

This is a great interview, thank you Kevin and thank you for writing your book.

It really surprises me that more blacks and Latinos are not voting Republican and Conservative. I have many friends of color and inlaws, and I have found through my 49 years of experiences and friendships, that 98% have the same basic family values that my family has. I have been a Democrat for many years, but recently changed to Indy although all my life I have had conservative views.
Like my friends and inlaws, we are Christians, we feel abortion is wrong, we have close family ties, we believe in the 2nd amendment, we love our country and respect its laws and the constitution. We believe in hard days works for a good days pay, no handouts. And we are generous to anyone that needs help. We believe in securing the border and getting the illegals out. These organizations like La Raza are making everything worse for the legal immigrants and the oppressed blacks that cannot find the opportunity to improve their lives. The community housing projects, and many downtown areas in the cities are terrible places to live and how are the Democrats going to make things better? 8 years of Clinton didn't. We believe that amnesty for the illegals in this country will make all of our lives much, much worse.

So, why would anyone of color support the left-sided agenda? We keep asking ourselves that question, and no one has a good answer. So, after I read Mr. Jacksons book, we'll get that answer, maybe, maybe not.
God bless you Mr. Jackson.
