Across the nation, thousands of people who embrace Christian and family values showed their support for Chik-Fil-A in response to the so-called "brutal attacks of hate" against homosexual groups, who somehow think that following God's commandments is hateful or discriminatory. Twitter post.  In other cities around the nation, the same scenario was being played out.  In another twitter post to Mrs. Dana Loesch of Breitbart.com, William Lynch in Joplin, MO tweeted, "Traffic is backed up for blocks around #ChickFilA."  NewsChannel 5 in Nashville, TN (local CBS affiliate), reported, "Thousands of people in Brentwood, Cookeville, Hermitage, Hendersonville, and Mt. Juliet showed their support by patronizing the restaurant Wednesday."

  According to the AP/Newschannel 5 story, former Governor Mike Huckabee had declared Wednesday to be "National Chik-Fil-A Appreciation Day". Wednesday's overwhelming support of Chik-Fil-A stemmed from protests by pro-gay groups alleging discrimination because of owner Dan Cathy's response to a question by K. Allen Blume of the Baptist Press. Madeleine Morgenstern at TheBlaze.com reported that in the interview with K. Allen Blume, Mr. Cathy

acknowledged that Chik-Fil-A might lose some customers for his response when asked by the Baptist Press reporter if he opposed gay marriage. Dan Cathy's response to Mr. Blume's question was, "Guilty as charged".  Later in the interview he added, “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles,” Even though there was a groundswell of support today, for years to come, whenever possible, Christians should "Eat Mor Chikin!!"
